Source

We collaborate with ethical production partners in South America and Europe that we personally assessed and vetted for the state of their facilities, the code of conduct they apply, the feedback from employees, and application of fair wages; amongst many other factors.

Based on our research and expertise in manufacturing, crafting garments in the same country where the fabric originates is a more sustainable approach, minimising waste. This holds true when the facilities uphold sustainable manufacturing standards.

The artists we collaborate with are excited to share their art more widely through our collections. Most of them reached out to us directly to request a collaboration with us. We have put in place a strong collaborative process to ensure their art is respectfully placed on each garment. Wear it and share it proudly!

merindah gunya bunurong country

The Original Artwork: BUNURONG COUNTRY

This piece was created for Glen Eira Sports and Aquatic Centre (GESAC), to be displayed behind their reception desk.

The piece represents the Bunurong Peoples of the Kulin Nations' ongoing cultural connection to the Country that GESAC is located in (Bentleigh East, Victoria).

The multiple meeting places are symbolic of the diverse communities of people that come together to use GESAC's facilities which include the gym, pool, sporting courts etc.

The water journey marks the Bunurong people's connection to water being people of the South East coast line as well as GESAC's amazing water facilities it’s provides the community.

All of the “U” shapes are representative of the people of the community including the large amounts of staff that put their time and energy into up-keeping the facility.
